Distributive Trade And Services Industry Secretariat
Introduction This secretariat was established on 1 January 2020 as a result of organizational restructuring aimed at regulating the development of the following industries:
Foreign participation involved in trade and distribution services in Malaysia;
Weighing and measuring activities, optical discs and repossession of goods;
Unregulated Services;
E-Commerce; and
Food Bank Malaysia Program Secretariat

Objective
Promote the development of distribution trade;
Encouraging the development and progress of industries related to weighing and measuring activities, optical discs and the repossession of goods; and
Encouraging the development of the unregulated service industry and electronic trade (e-commerce) that is balanced and competitive.
Function
Develop, formulate policies and promote the growth of a competitive domestic distribution trade sector;
Ensure sustainable growth and development of the wholesale and retail sector;
Regulating foreign participation involved in trade and distribution services in Malaysia;
Regulating the employment of foreign workers under the service sector;
Regulating weighing and measuring activities, optical discs and repossession of goods
